BCAT Certified Organization Levels for Rehabilitation Organizations

Level III:  Gold Status (Demonstrated Mastery):

At this award level, organizations are committed to:

  • Having a defined memory, cognitive, or dementia program in which the BCAT Approach is prominent
  • Utilizing BCAT training materials prior to use of the BCAT Approach program features
  • Ensuring that only trained staff use the BCAT Approach features
  • Meeting training thresholds of professional, non-professional, and management staff
  • Meeting mastery completion of post-tests
  • Utilizing at least the BCAT or BCAT-SF routinely to identify memory and cognitive functioning,
  • Utilizing MemPics®, BCAT WMEB, and/or BCAT Brain Rehabilitation modules for clients enrolled in the organization’s memory, cognitive, or dementia program
  • Identifying an “internal trainer” to provide support for organization staff
  • Completing BCAT Certified Organization Levels “Attestation Form” prior to annual renewal, documenting achieving standards

For this level, organizations demonstrate mastery in meeting these standards by meeting training, utilization, and post-test benchmarks.  Training benchmarks are based on training staff at designated percentages.  Participants in the training programs complete post-tests to demonstrate high-level proficiency.  This is the highest BCAT Level. The organization has:

  • Unlimited use of the BCAT Test System
  • Unlimited use of the BCAT Test System Reports
  • Unlimited use of the “core” BCAT training videos (excluding BCAT University Online programs)
  • Use of the “BCAT Certified Medal Seal” on your website and collateral materials
  • Ability to retail Working Memory Exercise Books and MemPics®
  • Discounts on Working Memory Exercise Books and MemPics®
  • Discounts on BCAT University Online programs

 

Level II:  Silver Status (Demonstrated Excellence):

At this award level, organizations are committed to:

  • Having a defined memory, cognitive, or dementia program in which the BCAT Approach is prominent
  • Utilizing BCAT training materials prior to use of the BCAT Approach program features
  • Ensuring that only trained staff use the BCAT Approach features
  • Meeting training thresholds of professional, non-professional, and management staff
  • Utilizing at least the BCAT or BCAT-SF routinely to identify memory and cognitive functioning,
  • Utilizing MemPics®, BCAT WMEB, and/or BCAT Brain Rehabilitation modules for clients enrolled in the organization’s memory, cognitive, or dementia program
  • Completing BCAT Certified Organization Levels “Attestation Form” prior to annual renewal, documenting achieving standards
  • Identifying an “internal trainer” to provide support for organization staff

Level I:  Bronze Status (Commitment to Quality):

At this award level, organizations are committed to:

  • Having a defined memory, cognitive, or dementia program in which the BCAT Approach is prominent
  • Utilizing BCAT training materials prior to use of the BCAT Approach program features
  • Ensuring that only trained staff use the BCAT Approach features
  • Utilizing at least the BCAT or BCAT-SF routinely to identify memory and cognitive functioning
  • Utilizing MemPics®, BCAT WMEB, and/or BCAT Brain Rehabilitation modules for clients enrolled in the organization’s memory, cognitive, or dementia program

For this level, organizations demonstrate their commitment to these standards, but do not have training and utilization benchmarks.  The organization has:

  • Unlimited use of the BCAT Test System
  • Unlimited use of the BCAT Test System Reports
  • Unlimited use of the “core” BCAT training videos (excluding BCAT University Online programs)
  • Use of the “BCAT Certified Bronze Seal” on your website and collateral materials
  • Ability to retail Working Memory Exercise Book and MemPics®

Become a BCAT Certified Rehabilitation Organization

To proceed in the process of becoming BCAT Certified, organizations should complete the application via the hyperlink below and submit it to the BCAT Staff by:

The BCAT Staff will respond to the organization once an application is received.  Applications are then reviewed twice per month and the organization will receive direct feedback from the BCAT Staff.
