The BCAT® Approach
Backed by science, easy to use, impactful results

The BCAT® Approach provides senior living communities a standardized approach to meeting the cognitive needs of residents to maintain their independence and successfully age in place.

Assessment Tools for Professionals

The BCAT® Test System is comprised of six unique assessment instruments that provide objective measures in the areas of cognition, practical judgment, and mood.  These tools can be used alone or together to identify each patient's level of cognitive functioning at admission to support placement in the ideal level of care within the community and to identify and address any changes in cognition that impact each resident's level of independence.

Intervention Tools and Clinical Programs for Providers

Our BCAT® Intervention programs meet the needs of patients across several levels of care.  We offer a comprehensive Cognitive Health and Wellness Program that can be offered within your community to promote ongoing Brain Health and cognitive wellness. The BCAT® Dementia Program is an evidence-based interprofessional Approach to reducing dementia-related behaviors. The Program integrates three primary components: the CBS-8® for identifying and tracking dementia-related behaviors; 3D Behavior Management Approach, which decodes problem behaviors and introduces specific resident-centered interventions; and MemPics® for promoting positive meaningful engagement and reducing agitation.
